No. Upon admission however, Bishops and Superiors of candidates from needy dioceses and congregations could apply to partner agencies in Europe and elsewhere that may be willing to offer some form of scholarship or bursary grants. Early applications for such grants stand a better chance.

No. The nature of this course involves practical interaction, group dynamics and one-on-one counselling with supervision and mentoring. The course is for 2 years and it is full time.

This degree program is residential and non-residential. Our Centre is designed for full accommodation facilities, recreational atmosphere and a serene study environment.

PSI is NOT responsible for students’ health issues. As pre-condition for admission into PSI, every candidate is expected to take a Health insurance cover to address health challenges that may occur.

PSI will NOT be responsible for any individual’s dietary needs. If you have any special preferences for health reasons, please prepare to fund all such needs.

Individual candidate is to pay the cost of transportation to and fro Nairobi or any of PSI Centres for training. The student will be responsible for his/her transportation during the 2 year course except otherwise stated.

It is mandatory for every candidate to bring along personal laptops and stationeries. PSI uses modern methods of course delivery and would expect every student to be compliant.

No. PSI does not give pocket money, student allowance nor makes provision for students’ loan. Every prospective student should save enough for his/her personal needs.

Duration of study for all Master’s Degrees
The duration of study for master degrees shall extend over a period of not less than four trimesters.

1. Continuous Assessment: Continuous Assessment is done throughout the trimester and constitutes 40% of the total mark for each course.
2. Trimester Examinations: Each student is required to take an end of trimester examination.  This constitutes 60% of the total mark for each course.
3. Practicum: These are part of Continuous Assessment and/or End of trimester Examinations.
4. Thesis: Each student is required to conduct research and write a thesis. The thesis is written under the guidance of two supervisors. It is assessed by three examiners: two internal and an external examiner.  A thesis constitutes 30% of the final grade.
5. Comprehensive Examinations: Comprehensive Examinations, both oral and written, are done by each student. Comprehensive Examinations constitute 20% of the final grade.
