Rev. Dr. Joyzy Pius Egunjobi is a Nigerian American and a Catholic Priest of the Catholic Diocese of Oyo, Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria; a U.S Equivalent Master’s Degree in Theology and Divinity from the Urban University, Rome, Italy; a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Development from the Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas, U.S.A; a first Doctorate Degree in Addictive Disorders from Breining Institute, Orangevale, USA, a second Doctorate Degree in Counseling Psychology from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, Kenya, and holds Certificates in Chemical Dependency at the California State University East Bay, Hayward, CA. U.S.A; Radio and Television Production from Media Service Center, Kaduna, Nigeria, and Diploma Certificate in Computer Hardware and Software from Sydney Computers, Ibadan, Nigeria.
He has worked as Pastor, Parochial Vicar, Director, Therapist, Chaplain, and Certified Addiction Specialist in many parishes and institutions across the world. He is a Psycho-Spiritual Therapist, Spiritual Director. Retreat Director, Lecturer, and Trainer at the Psycho-Spiritual Institute, Kenya.
Currently, he is the Director at PSI, HOD Psycho-Spiritual Therapy Department, MIUC, Senate member at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, and an adjunct lecturer at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, Marist International University College, and AOSK Chemchemi, Kenya. He has superved to completion many MasterThesis and Dessertation. He authored over 65 books, Book Chapters, and journals/online articles.
